Job Description:
The selected candidate should be responsible for
1. They will be posted in the IT department as a member of the project development team for PDS/PDMS Administrator. The development place shall be our offshore development centre at Chennai or our client place at Japan
2. Responsibilities as a Layouts engineer: Feed and Detailed engineering activities,
- Preparation of Equipment location plans.
- Piping design studies for design areas.
* Inter-discipline coordination.
- Vendor drawing reviews/comments.
- Isometrics checking and Transfer of deliverables
- Proactive design during FEED activities, coordinating with stress check for high critical piping.
- Interact with vendor, other global operating centers and various disciplines on issues related to piping routing/layout.
- Maintaining quality records and ensured quality compliance of all system deliverables.
- Coordinate with unit heads and PDS designers for alternate routing feasibility study.
3. Responsible as a PDS Administrator /CAD-Coordinator:
- PDS administration activities (Project setup, maintenance, updations)
- CAD coordination/Support activities
- Isometrics-coordination activities
- PDS Spec updations, PDS -Table updations, PDS Library updations.
- To raise Material requests for addition of database components.
- To assist and solve designers requests in PDS and other support software’s.
- Prepare Piping assembly standard programs and Customised Reports in PDS as per Project needs.
- Ensure quality compliance of all system deliverables by use of comprehensive check lists.
- Initiate knowledge base and prepared reports, which can be used as a guide in future projects.
4. Real time software development using VC++/C++/C/VBA/.NET/JAVA in Autodesk products (mostly in AutoCAD, Navis works) or any other software Like AVEVA PDMS, Intergraph’s PDS®
5. The development environment may be using Object ARX, Vault or any third party software
6. May do the minimum level of design/drawing in respective AutoCAD, Navis works, or any other related software product for self testing and specification prepartion.
7. To build the good image of the company by the way of good team member, good programmer, high level of job understanding, punctuality in job, dress code, adopting local Japanese culture, periodical reporting to the concerned officer, updating the new technology in the field, etc.
8. If necessary they have to learn the new application software in compatible with AutoCAD for the development purpose.
8. Should know the Quality standard, code standards, different type of testing techniques for self testing of the developed code.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Sound knowledge in VBA/.NET/JAVA /VC++/C/Oracle/ SQL / MS Access.
2. Knowledge on computer graphics and data base handling of 2D / 3D /4D cad system especially Autodesk products
3. Through knowledge on Autodesk products (mostly in AutoCAD, Inventor, Navis works) and PDS software Like AVEVA PDMS, Intergraph’s PDS®
4. Candidates preferably from Engineering background shall be given opportunity
5. PH.D can apply
